Press Bar owners: 'We're just trying to get rid of the dirty bar atmosphere'

ST. CLOUD — The Press Bar in downtown St. Cloud has had the reputation of being a dirty, outdated place to grab a drink. But owners Andy and Jessie Welsh, who purchased the bar in April 2016, are working to change that.
"It was kind of known as the dirty bar… everybody knew that," Andy Welsh said of the Press Bar's reputation. "It used to be. When I took took over I knew what I was getting in to, so now we're cleaning it up."
The big red awnings came down last week to be cleaned and crews started adding a fresh coat of paint to the exterior of the building.
