St. Cloud State University and Mayor Kleis discuss community, university goals

As a new academic year looms ahead, St. Cloud State University and the City of St. Cloud provided a united front at Tuesday morning's town hall, saying the two entities will work together to create a better community.
“You come into a situation, and you come in with a fresh set of eyes,” Mayor Dave Kleis said. “You come in and there's still a strong sense of collaboration. I think that's what's going to help the university, and it's (also) going to help the city by working together.”
The university said it's excited to help the city grow into a tourist attraction, referencing the city’s efforts to reimagine its downtown neighborhood.
