Sartell to hire consultant to help navigate private sector marketplace with Mill District

Sartell is making progress toward its Mill District project as the city council met with consultants Monday night to learn more about potential future steps.
The consultants—a team consisting of IAG Commercial, I & S Group, Inc., and Thrive, LLC.—could be tasked with implementing the city’s Mill District Concept Plan and Redevelopment Strategy, which was approved by the city council on June 24.
An initial $135,200 agreement between the consultants and the city will go before the Sartell City Council at its Jan. 13 meeting.
Sartell’s Mill District will be at the old Sartell Paper Mill, which employed more than 450 workers at its peak. The mill operated from 1906 to 2012, when it fell victim to an explosion and fire.
