Jimmy poured himself into namesake Sauk Rapids bar

On any given Friday night, Jimmy's Pour House will be packed with people. The bar and restaurant is a popular spot for breakfast, lunch, and dinner in downtown Sauk Rapids.

And it has all the trappings of a small-town restaurant: High school kids will show you to your seat. You'll recognize your server because she's worked there for a few decades. She knows you and your kids and asks if you'll have the usual. It's the place your parents went to on a Friday night and their parents. It's that kind of place.

Even if you're not from Sauk Rapids, you can enjoy the cozy, busy feel of the place, where people are clearly running into old friends, lingering at each other's tables as they do the long Minnesota goodbye.
