The new year is a wonderful time to reflect on the past while looking ahead to the future. As Benton Economic Partnership, Inc. sets its goals for 2026, our team can’t help but feel appreciative of the members who put their trust in the organization.

“Economic development requires a long-term vision for the future, and our members see how hard we work to bring new opportunities to the area,” says Pamela Vizenor, Executive Assistant at Benton Economic Partnership, Inc. “Every contribution matters and keeps Benton County competitive.”

On behalf of the entire team at Benton Economic Partnership, Inc., we would like to thank you for your support in 2025. We sincerely appreciate your financial contributions and the insight you provide at meetings, board discussions, and events. We look forward to the year ahead and hope you will continue to maintain your membership, working alongside us with a shared vision for the future.

Benton Economic Partnership, Inc. Supports the Entire County

One of the benefits of having a membership-driven economic development organization is that all the county, cities, townships, and businesses are represented equally. We want to make sure that all  resources are available and that no one is left behind. Investing in Benton Economic Partnership, Inc., especially if you reside in a rural area, can amplify your voice on both regional and national levels.

“Economic development doesn’t stop at city limits,” says Vizenor. “When a new business opens, residents across the county benefit from the job creation and amenities.”

Many Benton County residents enjoy the rural lifestyle but still want easy access to restaurants and stores. The efforts of the Partnership ensure sustainable development that protects our Minnesota way of life.

Small Businesses are Immensely Valuable to the Community

The team at Benton Economic Partnership, Inc. would specifically like to thank its small businesses for investing in economic development. Their contributions are just as important as the support from larger organizations in the area.

Small businesses account for 55% of job creation over the past decade. While a single company in Benton County might have a handful of employees, all small businesses combined account for thousands of residents in the county. This is why small business support and development are key principles of Benton Economic Partnership, Inc.

“Everybody matters, and we want to make sure the whole county is growing,” says Othoudt. “Small businesses create a diverse and resilient economy.”

Small business investment also supports tourism in Benton County as people travel to specific destinations. Tourism can turn into population growth as visitors discover our wonderful communities. Small positive experiences across the region make living here more enjoyable while attracting your future neighbors.

Economic Development Supports Every Resident

Business owners and community leaders are the most frequent supporters of economic development teams. However, every resident of Benton County benefits from our efforts. The organization is involved in housing development initiatives, school career readiness programs, and other quality-of-life projects. New businesses in the area also reduce the total tax burden on residents while creating funding channels for government services.

“This is your community,” says Vizenor. “If you live in Benton County, you visit local businesses and participate in activities and events. What businesses do you want to see here? What changes would you like made?”

The team at Benton Economic Partnership, Inc. is committed to bringing new businesses, amenities, and opportunities to the county. Local membership and involvement can help guide our efforts and shape our initiatives in the coming years.
