St. Cloud is entering a period of self-reflection as it prepares for its 2025 comprehensive planning process. As the city considers its future direction, officials are taking a hyperlocal approach.
This focus comes as the city restarts its Healthy Neighborhood Partnership Program, which residents may remember from its 2006, 2008, 2012 and 2018 appearances. The participants in the program held meetings across the city in early August to see what people are seeing on their own streets, saying residents know their communities the best.
“These kinds of (conversations) can inform city decisions at the policy or budget level,” Community Development Director Matt Glaesman said. “As when we adopt a 10-year plan like our comprehensive plan, that’s kicking off in the next couple of months, it's this kind of (engagement) that will then feed the city information when drafting those documents.”
