True North Family Clinic Brings Comprehensive Care to Foley

Residents of Foley and greater Benton County don’t have to travel far for medical care. True North Family Clinic offers primary medical care and physical therapy services for patients ages zero to 103 (and counting). The clinic strives to connect with residents across the community and be an integral part of their patients’ health journeys.
“Primary care is incredibly important to small areas, because we see entire families at our practice,” says Shana Nelson, Owner of True North Family Clinic. “We treat kids, parents, and grandparents, working to keep each generation healthy.”
Nelson purchased the Integracare Clinic in Foley from Dr. Mark Halstrom and Tanner Neubauer in March of 2026 and rebranded it as True North Family Clinic. She had worked for the Integracare clinic from its start in the area back in April of 2022, when it was purchased from Dr. Kevin Stiles. Nelson intends to keep the clinic running under a similar model, incorporating physical therapy into a comprehensive approach to health care. True North Family Clinic is located at 471 Highway 23 NE and is currently accepting new patients.
Medical Care Nearby Makes It Easy to Catch Things Early On
There are several benefits to having a primary care physician in the community. When patients have to travel for medical care, they are more likely to put off appointments and skip routine screenings or non-emergency treatments. These delays can lead to issues caught later in their development, which could mean more invasive treatments and potentially worse outcomes. Access to quality primary health care close to home improves outcomes and overall community health.
Nelson is heavily focused on preventative care. “My goal is to help you live as long as you can and be as healthy as you can,” she says.
Her team encourages residents to schedule routine physicals and creates events throughout the year to support their health. She has been offering screening days, such as the twice-yearly skin cancer screening days, and this year, they offered a colon cancer screening day with SHIELD, a new option. She looks forward to offering more events like this and bringing more screening services to the community. Nelson’s physical therapy team also leads a class that teaches seniors proper form for lifting heavy objects or improving their balance – reducing their risk of falls.
Nelson Grew Up With a Family Doctor
Nelson was inspired by how Dr. Stiles ran his medical practice, but also had her own experience with her own family physician. She grew up in a smaller community, where Dr. Mark Wagner treated her from her earliest years into adulthood. That doctor eventually helped deliver her first child and was the first person she had clinicals with when training to become a Nurse Practitioner.
“That doctor was someone I could trust and I could seek care from,” she says. “That appealed to me – keeping the practice small where you know the people you treat.”
Nelson hopes to build similar relationships with her patients in Foley and watch them grow up and reach important milestones. She also runs a smaller practice that allows patients to get to know the people treating them. The True North Family Clinic team comprises a physical therapist, two nurse practitioners, and front desk staff. “Growth for our clinic will be in the services we offer, not in the size of the clinic. “
True North Family Clinic is Found Throughout the Community

Residents of Benton County will see Nelson and the True North Family Clinic team at various events throughout the year. They provide patient education in schools, attend local expos, and talk about healthcare with almost everyone they meet. Not only does this help the clinic grow its patient list, but it also makes people aware that medical services are right in their backyard.
“Foley is a small town with a lot of word-of-mouth recommendations, so it’s important to build that trust by being involved in the community,” says Daniel Nelson, Owner of True North Family Clinic. “We want to turn our patients into advocates who tell their friends and loved ones about us and trust us to get the care they need.”
The Nelsons are also involved in the Benton Economic Partnership, Inc., and the True North Family Clinic is a participating member. They joined because they saw the value of giving back to the community and investing in economic development. When more businesses open in Foley and more people move to the area, the True North Family Clinic can also grow.
